Jane Cooper advises on Hong Kong regulatory matters affecting participants in financial markets. These include licensing and registration requirements, marketing of services and investment products, market conduct issues, business conduct requirements, regulatory reporting and disclosure obligations and ongoing compliance and control matters.
Jane's focus is on providing clients with guidance on Hong Kong requirements in respect of financial services, investment products and trading activities, and assisting them with new developments in Hong Kong's regulatory regime.
Jane joined White & Case in early 2012 from Citi, where she was a senior compliance officer within Citi's private bank. She previously held roles as legal counsel supporting equities sales and trading at Citi and as a senior manager with the Securities and Futures Commission in Hong Kong. Prior to her in-house positions, Jane spent a number of years in private practice, primarily with an international, New York-headquartered law firm. She is qualified in Hong Kong, New York and Australia.
