Practice Experience
Anna Andreeva is an associate in the Firm's Americas Banking and Energy, Infrastructure, Project and Asset Finance groups. Her primary practice areas include bank and project finance, equipment leasing and finance transactions and general corporate work, with a focus in Latin America.
Significant recent experience includes:
- Representation of Standard Chartered Bank, as administrative agent, and BNP Paribas Securities Corp. and Standard Chartered Bank, as mandated lead arrangers and joint bookrunners of a syndicate of 13 lenders, in connection with a US$270 million unsecured trade finance term loan facility for a supranational bank with headquarters in the Republic of Panama.
- Representation of Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad (ICE), the national electric utility of Costa Rica, as Borrower, in a US$210 million bridge loan.
- Representation of Standard Chartered Bank, as administrative agent and lender, in connection with a senior secured US$750 million term loan facility for a special-purpose company owning and leasing offshore drillships to a Brazilian state-owned oil and gas company.
- Representation of Aviation Capital Group Corp. (ACG) in a purchase and leveraged lease financing of two Boeing 737-800 aircraft on lease to a U.S. airline.
- Representation of a Qatari investor in connection with its participation in the exit financing of a large US hotel chain emerging from bankruptcy;
- Representation of Standard Chartered Bank as administrative agent and lender in a US$1 billion senior unsecured loan facility for a Brazilian energy company;
- Representation of BBVA Bancomer, SA, Institución de Banca Múltiple, Grupo Financiero BBVA Bancomer, as administrative agent in connection with a US$150 million senior unsecured term loan facility for one of the largest electricity generating companies in the Republic of Chile;
- Representation of Standard Chartered Bank, as administrative agent and lead arranger, in connection with a US$135 million senior unsecured term loan facility for a Peruvian development and investment bank;
- Representation of Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA and certain of its affiliates as lead and agent bank in the workout of the financial debt of a Mexico-based cement producer with operations in Latin America, the United States and Europe;
- Representation of a Chilean copper mining company in connection with a US$750 million financing of the expansion of its largest copper project;
- Representation of a Mexican airline in connection with a workout of its lease obligations with multiple aircraft leasing companies;
- Representation of BBAM in the leasing of a number of aircraft to various operators with a special focus on leases to Russian airlines;
- Representation of AWAS in the leasing of two new Airbus A320 aircraft to a US airline; and
- Representation of AWAS and Vx Capital in connection with a workout of the lease obligations of a US airline.
Anna graduated cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law in May 2005. While in law school, she was a member of the Moot Court Board and participated in interschool moot court competitions, such as the Conrad B. Duberstein Bankruptcy Competition in New York. Anna was the author of an article on the Class Action Fairness Act of 2005 published in the University of Miami Law Review (April 2005 issue), where she also served as an Articles and Comments Editor. She is a member of the Order of the Coif.
