Practice Experience

Aleš Cechel joined White & Case in July 2002 as a tax partner to lead the tax advisory team. Prior to joining White & Case, he had worked for Arthur Andersen for nine years. As a tax partner he has primarily specialized in corporate taxation, financial services, mergers&acquisitions, private equity transactions, tax structuring of group companies and international taxation.

Aleš Cechel’s key qualifications include:

tax consultancy for large banks and other multinational and domestic companies operating in financial markets, and the utilities and telecom sectors, as well as structuring assistance for international investment and due diligence exercises for potential foreign investors in the financial services sector;
tax consultancy for venture and private equity funds in structuring the funds, their investments and redemptions, and investments of investors and managers into the funds;
corporate tax consultancy for various multinational and domestic non-financial companies with significant experience concerning large consulting projects for corporate clients, including acquisitions, mergers and financing structuring;
tax consultancy in the area of taxation of individuals.
