Practice Experience

Mr. Gahtan's practice is primarily in intellectual property litigation and appeals. He litigates patent, trademark, copyright, and related cases in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, music licensing, and other industries. Included in his appellate experience are favorable decisions on issues of constitutional subject-matter jurisdiction in patent cases governed by federal pharmaceutical regulations.

In addition, Mr. Gahtan advises individual authors and corporate content-providers in the negotiation of film and television production agreements, merchandising agreements, and traditional and non-traditional publishing agreements.
