Practice Experience
Asoid Garcia-Marquez specializes in international commercial arbitration.  She has been involved in arbitrations under the rules of institutions such as the ICC and ICSID, as well as ad hoc UNCITRAL arbitrations. Asoid's sector experience includes construction, and she also has a certificate of training in mediation.

Prior to joining White & Case, Asoid worked at another international law firm and was involved in the preparation of a report on the "Revision of the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules" commissioned by the UNCITRAL Secretariat. She has also worked at the Mexican mission at the World Trade Organisation and the Ministry of Economy in Mexico where she was involved in dispute settlement procedures under the auspices of the World Trade Organisation.

Asoid is co-author of the article "El Proyecto de Reforma del Reglamento de Arbitraje de la CNUDMI" published in Vol. 6 (June 2007) of the Revista Internacional de Arbitraje. She has also collaborated with UNIDROIT (International Institute for the Unification of Private Law) in Mexico regarding the translation of the UNIDROIT Principles of International Commercial Contracts, 2004.

Asoid is a member of Arbitralwomen.
