Practice Experience

Alexandra Tosun especially advises clients in the media and telecommunications sector.

She has broad experience with all relevant legal issues in producing and financing film and tv productions and with transactions in the publishing and press sector, the entertainment industry as well as with advertising and sponsorship.

Apart from legal expertise on Film, Broadcasting and Telecommunications Law, Ms. Tosun also covers appendant areas of law such as Copyright Law, Press Law, Trademark Law and Competition Law as well as Corporate Law.

Following her study of law in Cologne and a period of voluntary service with WDR (public broadcasting company), Ms. Tosun initially worked for a leading German regional newspaper publisher. In Addition she was appointed scientific officer at the Institute of Public Law and Administration Science of the University of Cologne.

Afterwards, Ms. Tosun worked as legal adviser for the Government of North Rhine-Westphalia, State Initiative for Media (at the State Chancellery in Düsseldorf) of which the project executing organisation was a media-focused international management consultancy and holding company.

Since February 2003, Ms. Tosun has worked as an Attorney at Law and Counsel with international law firms.
