Peter Finlay Named American Lawyer’s "Dealmaker of the Week"

London partner Peter Finlay was named "Dealmaker of the Week" by the American Lawyer for the week of 25 June 2010. Finlay was cited for his work as lead counsel on the recent US$5.4 billion combination between Nasdaq and Oslo stock-exchange-listed Acergy SA and Oslo stock exchange-listed Subsea 7 Inc. to create a global leader in seabed-to-surface engineering and construction. Since Acergy is based in Luxembourg and Subsea is based in the Cayman Islands, the combination involved coordinating and managing the work of White & Case lawyers in London, New York, Brussels and Washington D.C. and external counsel in Luxembourg, Norway and the Cayman Island.
