White & Case has been named best law firm in the category of Innovation in Talent Management and Retention at The Lawyer Human Resources Awards 2008.
 
The Firm's progressive and industry-leading flexible working policy, introduced in March 2007 in a bid to improve retention, was at the heart of the award success.

The strength of the policy is the unique way in which it offers employees the opportunity to create a working arrangement that is tailor-made to their own individual needs.
 
Key features include allowing employees to propose a range of working arrangements such as project-by-project working, job-sharing and non-standard start/finish times, as well as there being no insistence that they provide a reason why an application for flexible working is being made.
