- Eskom, South Africa
White & Case advised the borrower, Eskom — South Africa's state-owned electricity provider — in connection with a €114 million export credit facility arranged by Deutsche Bank
- Orascom Telecom, Algeria
The Firm advised Orascom Telecom, the borrower, in a US$327 million three-tranche deal — the largest ever clean syndicated loan in Algeria
- Votorantrade/VCP Overseas, Brazil
The arrangers closed a US$1.2 billion facility for Brazilian commodity producer, Votorantim — the largest syndicated pre-export related Brazilian transaction closed in 2006. White & Case advised Votorantim
- United Cement, Nigeria
In a landmark transaction, a syndicate of Nigerian banks led by Citigroup successfully closed a US$205 million financing for a major cement and power plant. White & Case advised the borrowers
