White & Case Wins Three Awards for India Work

White & Case won three awards for its work in India at the 2009 BMW Asia ALB SE Asia Law Awards held at the Ritz Carlton in Singapore on June 5, 2009:

• "BMW Asia SE Asia Deal Of The Year" and "Asset & Corporate Finance Deal of the Year" for our work representing GMR on its acquisition of Intergen, which marked the largest energy acquisition by an Indian company. This transaction has won numerous awards including "Infrastructure Acquisition of the Year" by Infrastructure Journal 2009; "India Asset & Corporate Finance Deal of the Year" by Asian Legal Business 2009; "M&A Deal of the Year" by India Business Law Journal 2008.
  
• "Insolvency & Restructuring Deals of the Year" for our representation of Lehman Brothers in its sale of a number of its businesses in India to Normura Holdings, Inc. This transaction was also previously named "Restructuring Deal of the Year" by International Financial Law Review 2009.

The awards were presented to Joel Hogarth, Siew Kam Boon and Damien Coles of our Singapore office.
