White & Case Ranks in Top Tier of International Arbitration Survey

White & Case ranks among the first tier of arbitration law firms worldwide in American Lawyer: Focus Europe's survey of global arbitration cases. The survey, Arbitration Scorecard 2009, looked at nearly 250 cases – all either treaty disputes with stakes of at least $100 million or commercial disputes with stakes of at least $500 million. White & Case arbitrations cited in the survey include representing 180,000 Italian bondholders against Argentina in the aftermath of its sovereign debt default. Also mentioned and quoted in the survey is White & Case partner Abby Cohen Smutny, who the survey points out is one of six women arbitration partners at the Firm.
