White & Case was named Best Law Firm for Alternative Assets by Asian Investor on 17 October 2009. Asian Investor commented that the Firm "advised on the launch of start-up hedge funds, kept funds and prime brokers abreast of regulatory changes (particularly in Japan, where short selling rules were changed), and was brought in to help with fund restructurings."

Asian Investor also noted that "White & Case helped longstanding clients get new products off the ground, including distressed products, private-equity funds and funds of funds. In total it has worked on 82 projects across the region this year.
