German Energy & IT Firm of the Year

White & Case has been named Energy Law Firm of the Year 2006 and IT Law Firm of the Year 2006 by the leading German legal publisher, Juve.

In the latest edition of its "Handbuch" – a respected annual guidebook to the German legal market – Juve praised the progress made by both practices.

For the energy group, it said: "White & Case has demonstrated how to get ahead of the game through clever recruitment…today the firm is among the top energy practices in Germany. In particular the co-operation with the project finance team and the public procurement team has been crucial to the success of the practice."

Describing the IT group, Juve commented that "not two years ago hardly anybody in the market recognized White & Case's IT practice". It went on to praise the Firm's impressive expansion and development, helped by the "successful integration of high caliber clients into the existing IT practice."

These two awards follow Juve's earlier naming of White & Case as Bank Finance Law Firm of the Year 2006 in Germany at its November awards dinner in Frankfurt.
