White & Case won Jane's Transport Finance 2008 "Aircraft Finance Law" award for representing Avianca in its first export credit supported financing for two Airbus A319 and one Airbus 320 aircraft, which marked the initial financings of their fleet renewal program. The innovative transaction structure was developed by White & Case and involved English, New York State and Panamanian law.

The White & Case team was led by partners Someera Khokhar and James Hayden in New York.
