Practice Experience
Brian S. Gleicher focuses on tax controversies, with an emphasis on representing corporate and individual taxpayers in tax examinations and settlement negotiations with the Internal Revenue Service at the examination and appeals levels. Mr. Gleicher also has substantial international tax experience, with an emphasis on transfer pricing and tax treaty issues. In this context, he has represented multinational companies in transfer pricing disputes with the Internal Revenue Service and foreign tax authorities and has negotiated advanced pricing agreements. He routinely advises multinational companies on structuring transactions to comply with Internal Revenue Code Sections 482 and maximizing the benefits available under income tax treaties.
Mr. Gleicher received his B.S. with high honors in 1992 from the University of Florida, Fisher School of Accounting and his J.D.
cum laude
in 1995 from the Georgetown University Law Center, where he served as a lead articles editor of the
Tax Lawyer
. He is a member of the District of Columbia and Florida Bars and is admitted to practice before the US Tax Court. Active in the Federal Bar Association Section of Taxation, he is currently an officer and has served as the chair of the Section of Taxation as well as the Section’s annual Tax Law Conference.

- a 115-page treatise discussing the law applicable to, and the policies and procedures followed by, the Internal Revenue Service in the examination of tax returns and administrative appeals of examination determinations. He is also a frequent speaker on tax matters and has recently presented at conferences sponsored by the Tax Executives Institute and the Council for International Tax Education.
