Diversity is not a buzzword, it’s our
future. It’s also one of our biggest challenges as a law firm. Or, to be more accurate, three of our biggest challenges: (1) Increasing the diversity of students in the pipeline; (2) Increasing our own diversity; (3) Creating a professionally supportive environment for our people.
It’s not a question of quotas, but of quality. Diversity means quality––something we demand for ourselves, for our clients and for maintaining our industry leadership. But, right now, the diversity just doesn’t exist. You can look around at your classmates and see the situation clearly enough. The solutions, while not simple, are also clear. White & Case lawyers are active in a number of firm-led and collaborative
initiatives involving our time, money and resources working in concert to make a significant impact on diversity from grade school to graduate school and law firms to NGOs.
We’re also going a long way to attract talent––both students and experienced lawyers––and make sure they have the most fulfilling personal and professional experience at White & Case.
