That’s why our efforts to cultivate diversity start early. Through a variety of mentoring, scholarship, internship and on-site presentation programs we’re promoting enhanced academic achievement and creating awareness of the legal industry. The goal is to reach those students who might not otherwise consider a career in law as their future. Examples of what we’re doing:

• Through the Thurgood Marshall Program, we’re committed to helping prepare future generations of leaders––not just lawyers.
• We fund a merit-based legal writing prize at Howard University, as well as sponsoring students for the prestigious Burton Awards for excellence in law writing.
• The Cristo Rey Corporate Internship Program provides invaluable learning and real-world experience, and education financing, to high school students from immigrant families.
• Through the Inner City Youth Internship Program in L.A. we sponsor internships for inner-city students at a variety of firm and public law libraries to generate career interest.
• We’re the mentoring partner for Jamaica High School’s Law Team Program.
• We have myriad pro bono projects empowering women, minorities and the underprivileged.
