Carlos Garduño's practice focuses mainly in financial law, with a special emphasis in securities and banking transactions, including the regulatory matters related thereto.  Likewise, he has experience in corporate matters in general, including mergers and acquisitions, as well as in administrative litigation matters.

Carlos Garduño has been involved in various corporate and financial transactions both domestic and international, including syndicated loans and project finance. He has advised issuers and underwriters in various types of securities offerings both in Mexico and abroad, including Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, ABN Amro, Barclays and ING.  In addition, he is currently collaborating with some of the Firm's clients in obtaining the authorization to operate as commercial banking institutions and insurance companies, as well as in the incorporation of Multiple Purpose Financial Entities (Sofomes).

Prior to joining White & Case in the year 2005, Carlos Garduño worked in a Mexican Law Firm specialized in administrative and tax consulting and litigation, as well as with Notary Public number 201 of Mexico City.
