Practice Experience
Carol Tsuchida is an associate in White & Case's Tokyo office. Her practice focuses on investment funds matters and financial regulatory matters.
In terms of investment funds matters, Ms. Tsuchida advises on the establishment, registration and licensing of investment funds in Japan, as well as assists with regulatory issues, including those pertaining to Japan's Financial Instruments and Exchange Law. She also assists investors from various jurisdictions, including Japan and the US investing in infrastructure funds, hedge funds and private equity funds both in Japan and around Asia.
Ms. Tsuchida first joined White & Case in 2002, and then took a three-year hiatus during which she served as the Assistant General Counsel for a leading international financial institution, specializing in real estate investment funds. She rejoined White & Case at the end of 2008.
Prior to joining White & Case in September 2002, Ms. Tsuchida worked in the business practice group of a leading Boston law firm where she worked on various transactional and general corporate matters including securities law compliance, investment funds, mergers and acquisitions, underwritten public offerings, private equity financings and venture capital transactions. She also completed her articles with one of the major national law firms in Canada.
