Practice Experience
Ms. DeSurra is a litigator with a wide range of experience in complex commercial and business litigation in state and federal court. She has represented domestic and international corporations and individuals in a variety of industries, including semiconductor and technology companies, fiber optics products companies, pharmaceutical companies, and other businesses. Ms. DeSurra's experience includes a diverse range of litigation matters including breach of contract and warranty, commercial fraud, antitrust, trade secret misappropriation, trademark infringement, employment discrimination, unfair competition and class action securities fraud.

Ms. DeSurra's experience includes, taking domestic and international depositions, preparing a range of complex legal briefs, appearing and arguing before trial courts and discovery referees, managing and conducting domestic and international discovery, and participating in alternative dispute resolution.

Ms. DeSurra's recent experience has included:
  • Representation of a semiconductor chip manufacturer in defense of a lawsuit filed by its customer, a disk drive manufacturer, who alleged damages of over $60 million for breach of an alleged requirements contract. The case settled with a recovery of $45 million for the firm's client on its counterclaim;
  • Representation of a semiconductor chip manufacturer in its defense of a disk drive customer's substantial warranty claims, including significant international discovery, overseas depositions, and translated depositions; and
  • Representation of Canadian developer and supplier of fiber optic components in prosecution of trade secret misappropriation claims and defense of contract and employment discrimination claims.
