July 30, 2008—Innovative and leading scientist, Craig Venter, will be the featured speaker in the ongoing White & Case Diversity Speaker Series. Venter was instrumental in mapping the human genome and is the founder of the Institute for Genome Research.

November 13—Several White & Case lawyers and clients attended The Prince’s Trusts Women’s Leadership Group celebration that was held in London. Baroness Scotland delivered the keynote address.
November 7—A number of White & Case attorneys attended the Minority Corporate Counsel Association 10th Anniversary Dinner in New York City.
October 31-November 2—The inaugural global Minority Lawyers Conference took place in Armonk, New York. This initiative will advance the Firm's programs and policies on recruitment, retention and promotion of minorities.
October 23—James Earl Jones was the featured speaker at the ongoing White & Case Diversity Speaker Series at the New York office. Mr. Jones discussed "Why Are We Still Talking About Race?"
October 16—Maxine Williams and Kelly Hoey attended the Deutsche Bank "Women on Wall Street" Conference
October 11—White & Case hosted a New York Area Minority Diversity Reception for all outstanding offerees from the New York area schools at Spice Market, a restaurant in New York City
October 1—Three White & Case lawyers attended Microsoft’s Women & Minority Law Student IP Summit held in Washington, DC
September 10—Choosing Platforms, a reception and discussion with the renowned activist, Gloria Steinem. Ms. Steinem discussed the issues that have comprised her life's work and the methods by which she has continually channeled passion into action. To watch the full presentation click here
September 8—Michael Palin, co-founder of the Monty Python series was honored at a gala hosted by the Oxonian Society. As a leading supporter of the Society, several White & Case partners and clients attended and Maxine Williams, our Manager of Diversity Programs, introduced Mr. Palin with congratulatory comments on his contributions to diversity.
