Practice Experience
Mr. Joyce's practice primarily focuses on the representation of major commercial banks, investment banks, borrowers and issuers in a variety of complex financing transactions.
Mr. Joyce has represented financial institutions such as Deutsche Bank, GE Capital, Morgan Stanley, Nordea Bank, Starwood Capital and their affiliates in providing and/or agenting bank financings for borrowers operating in a variety of industries. Borrowers/Issuers Mr. Joyce has recently represented include BLB Investors, Excel Maritime, Starwood Capital, Stolt-Nielsen S.A., and portfolio companies of Lehman Brothers Merchant Banking, Quad-C Management and Red Diamond Capital. Recent financings in which Mr. Joyce has been involved include representing Deutsche Bank as arranger for financings for Aleris International and Reliant Energy; GE Capital as the arranger for the financing of EAG Limited; and Nordea as arranger for the financings for Atwood Oceanics, General Maritime, Scorpion Offshore Ltd., and Trico Marine.
Mr. Joyce joined White & Case in 1981 and was named a partner in 1989. Mr. Joyce has been a resident in the Warsaw (1995-1997) and Istanbul (1990-1992) offices.
