Practice Experience
Mr. Khairallah advises financial institutions, governments and commercial enterprises in connection with project financing, equity investments, corporate governance, privatization and international dispute resolution involving the Arab world. He also advises clients with regard to government and multilateral initiatives to combat corruption in international business transactions.

Before joining White & Case, Mr. Khairallah worked with the World Bank Group for almost 25 years. He was deputy general counsel to the World Bank from 1994 to 2000, and before that was deputy general counsel to the International Finance Corporation.

At the World Bank Group, he also served as chairman of the Conflict of Interests, Outside Interests Committee; chairman of the Litigation Committee at the International Finance Association; vice chairman of the Oversight Committee on investigations of fraud and corruption; a member of the Asset and Liability Management Committee; and legal counsel to the Board of Executive Directors’ Audit and Budget Committees.

Between 1974 and 1976, Mr. Khairallah lectured on international law at the Lebanese University School of Law and the School of Journalism and Information. He has been an occasional lecturer on project finance at The International Law Institute. Since 1992, he has been an adjunct professor at Georgetown University Law Center, teaching international project finance and investment. Mr. Khairallah was in private legal practice from 1965 to 1969 and again from 1973 to 1976.
