Germany, being the most populous country with the largest economy in Europe, is also at the heart of the evolving landscape of business and trade in Eastern Europe. White & Case's five offices in Germany provide the full range of legal services to clients seeking success within the country — throughout Europe and the world.
Established in 1998, the Düsseldorf office became part of the White & Case global network in 2000. Located in the Rhine-Ruhr area, with its high concentration of major industrial, commercial and service enterprises, the office mainly concentrates on transactional business (including M&A, Joint Ventures, private equity), complex insolvency and debtor restructurings and distressed debt transactions, corporate law and labour law. Further key areas are banking and international finance with a particular focus on project finance as well as on public procurement law. Finally, the Düsseldorf team advises on the full scope of all legal areas related to the energy business.
Some of the Düsseldorf team of 30 lawyers worked as in-house counsel in major corporations, allowing them to add their particular experience in corporate in-house practice and their in-depth knowledge of various industry sectors. They also keep developing new approaches and structures to maximise the clients' corporate efforts.
The lawyers in the Düsseldorf office avail of a long track record of both mid-size as well as significant and high profile projects and transactions.
The Düsseldorf team works closely with our other offices in Germany — Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Munich. Our lawyers in Germany are part of an integrated team of legal professionals that spans 26 countries. Together we bring global breadth and local depth to bear on our clients’ most exciting opportunities and difficult challenges.
