Practice Experience
Mr. Leicht represents major commercial banks and investment banks as lead agents in a variety of lending transactions, with an emphasis on acquisition and leveraged financings. As counsel for the agent banks, he is involved in all aspects of deal structure and in the negotiation and documentation of such transactions, including the negotiation of intercreditor relationships among senior and junior creditors. Mr. Leicht has experience representing lenders in financing transactions involving borrowers in a wide variety of industries, including manufacturing, hotel, consumer, investment funds and media and communications.
Representative clients of Mr. Leicht include Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan Chase and Bank of America. Among the recent financings in which Mr. Leicht was lead counsel representing the agent or agents for the senior bank group are: the $8.7 billion senior secured credit facilities for Univision Communications Inc. (representing Deutsche Bank, Bank of America and Credit Suisse); the $2.55 billion senior secured credit facilities for Ceridian Corporation (representing Deutsche Bank and Credit Suisse); the $750 million senior secured credit facilities for LKQ Corporation (representing Lehman Brothers and Deutsche Bank, JPMorgan and Bank of America); the $375 million senior secured credit facilities for EnerSys (representing Bank of America); the $1.0 billion term loan facilities for Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (representing Bank of America); the $1.5 billion revolving credit facility for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (representing Deutsche Bank and JP Morgan Chase); the $2.1 billion senior secured credit facilities for Reynolds American, Inc. (representing JPMorgan Chase and Lehman Brothers); and the $900.0 million senior secured credit facilities for CMP Susquehanna Radio Holdings Corp. (representing Deutsche Bank, Merrill Lynch and UBS Securities).
In addition, Mr. Leicht has represented agent banks in providing senior financing to a large number of borrowers operating in a variety of industries, recently including Activant Solutions Holdings, Inc. (software), Wyeth (pharmaceuticals), Nuveen (investment services), Cooper-Standard Automotive Inc. (automobile), Reynolds American (consumer), Perseus Books (publishing) and EnerSys (industrial).
Mr. Leicht joined White & Case after his graduation from law school in 1994.
