Practice Experience
Mr. Leicht represents major commercial and investment banks as lead agents and arrangers in a variety of lending transactions, with an emphasis on acquisition and leveraged financings. As counsel for the agent banks, he is involved in all aspects of deal structure and in the negotiation and documentation of such financings, including the negotiation of intercreditor relationships among senior and junior creditors. Mr. Leicht has experience representing lenders in financing transactions involving borrowers in a wide variety of industries, including manufacturing, hotel, retail, consumer products, investment funds and media and communications.

Mr. Leicht, who joined White & Case after his graduation from law school in 1994, is recognized as a leading practitioner in the banking and finance field in the US edition of The Legal 500 2011, the respected guide to the legal profession.

Examples of recent transactions Mr. Leicht has advised on include:
  • Representation of Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. and Barclays Capital as Joint Lead Arrangers and Joint Bookmanagers, and Deutsche Bank AG New York Branch, as Administrative Agent with respect to a US$1.44 billion term loan facility and a US$350 million ABL credit facility made available to Emergency Medical Services Corporation, one of the largest providers of emergency medical services in the U.S.
  • Representation of Bank of America, as Administrative Agent, with respect to a US$350 million senior secured revolving credit facility made available to EnerSys, a global leader in stored energy solutions for industrial applications.
  • Representation of Credit Suisse AG, as Administrative Agent, Joint Lead Arranger and Joint Bookrunning Manager, with respect to US$411 million of senior secured credit facilities provided to Radio One, Inc., one of the nation's largest radio broadcasting companies and the largest radio broadcasting company that primarily targets African-American and urban listeners.
  • Representation of Deutsche Bank Trust Company Americas, as Administrative Agent, and Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. and J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, as Joint Lead Arrangers and Joint Book Runners, for Station Casino Inc.'s "exit" credit facilities, consisting of a US$25 million "super-priority" revolving credit facility and a US$455 million term loan facility.
  • Representation of Deutsche Bank AG New York Branch, as Administrative Agent, and Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. and Banc of America Securities LLC, as Joint Lead Arrangers and Joint Bookrunners, with respect to the amendment and restatement of the US$7.6 billion existing senior secured credit facility provided to Univision Communications, Inc., which, among other things, (i) extended the maturity of approximately US$6.2 billion of its term loan facilities due September 2014 by two and half years to March 2017, (ii) extended the maturity of US$408 million of its existing revolving credit commitments by two years to March 2016 and (iii) converted US$137 million of its existing revolving credit exposure to extended term loans due March 2017. Univision is the leading Spanish language broadcaster in the United States.
  • Representation of Deutsche Bank AG New York Branch, as Administrative Agent, and Deutsche Bank Securities Inc., J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. and Banc of America Securities LLC, as Lead Arrangers and Book Running Mangers, with respect to a US$1.5 billion multi-currency revolving credit facility made available to Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. and certain of its subsidiaries.
