Practice Experience
Eric Muller is a partner in the Paris office of White & Case, specializing in mergers and acquisitions and securities law. He represents French and foreign listed and non-listed companies in corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, joint venture agreements, disposals and corporate reorganizations. Mr. Muller has also significant experience in IPOs and other stock exchange related transactions.

In the past few years, significant transactions in which Mr. Muller was involved include:
  • Advising Auchan on the restructuring of its joint venture with the Taiwanese conglomerate Ruentex followed by the IPO of such joint venture on Main Board of the HKSE;
  • Advising an international financial institution on the sale of one of its subsidiaries, a French bank, to a French investor;
  • Advising Suez Environnement on its spin-off from Suez, in the context of the merger between Suez and Gaz de France and the listing of Suez Environnement on Eurolist by Euronext Paris;
  • Advising a major French distribution group on several international joint-venture agreements;
  • Advising several French and international real estate funds on the acquisition and disposal of portfolio companies;
  • Advising BC Partners on the acquisition of Medica and subsequent operations;
  • Advising Icade on its IPO and subsequent operations; and
  • Advising Wendel on the acquisition of a controlling stake in Bureau Veritas and subsequent operations.

Before joining White & Case, Mr. Muller practiced law in other international law firms in Paris and in the legal department of a French listed company.
