Gisele Kapterian practices in the area of international trade law, particularly the law of the World Trade Organization (WTO). She advises companies and sovereign governments on all matters regulated by the WTO Agreements, as well as current WTO negotiations. She assists in providing advocacy for WTO disputes, and also advises on the negotiation and implementation of free trade agreements (FTAs). Her previous trade law experience includes interning at the WTO Appellate Body Secretariat.

Prior to joining White & Case, Ms. Kapterian counselled sovereign governments and private companies in public and private international arbitral matters in London, and served as an international lawyer to the Office of the Legal Advisor to the Office of the President of Eritrea in the Eritrea-Ethiopia Claims Commission arbitration.
