Practice Experience
Hansel Pham joined White & Case LLP as an associate in 2003 and is a member of the Firm’s International Arbitration and Litigation Groups. Mr. Pham has experience in investor-state disputes before the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) at the World Bank and the International Court of Arbitration at the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). Mr. Pham has also worked on various international civil litigation matters.
Mr. Pham recently helped to obtain the complete dismissal of US$425 million in investment treaty claims against a host State in an ICSID arbitration. Mr. Pham also helped secure the dismissal of price-fixing claims against U.S. companies in the petroleum industry.
Recent representative matters include:
Representing the Republic of the Philippines in parallel ICSID and ICC arbitrations arising from a concession to build and operate a new international airport passenger terminal in Manila.
Representing the U.S. subsidiaries of a national oil company in a multi-district, class-action antitrust litigation.
Representing a government ministry as an amicus curiae party in a class-action antitrust litigation.
Representing a national oil company in an appeal of the dismissal of an antitrust class-action lawsuit before the Fifth Circuit.
