Practice Experience
Jane Bassett is an associate in the Firm’s Banking & Capital Markets group in London and joined White & Case in August 2007.
The main ambit of her work to date has focused on her advising arrangers on the structuring and execution of collateralised debt obligations, credit derivatives, repackagings and MTN programmes. She also has had some experience representing Trustees in such structures.
Prior to studying law, Jane trained and qualified as a Chemical Engineer and spent a year working for ICI and two years working for a small chemical company in Middlesbrough.
Examples of recent representations include:
- Advising JPMorgan as arranger on Bruckner (a cash CDO of ABS);
- Advising Morgan Stanley as arranger on Greenland (a synthetic CDO);
- Advising Morgan Stanley on simple repackagings and a number of drawdowns under their Heather and Arosa programmes; and
- Acting for CALYON, Société Générale and Morgan Stanley as arranger on a number of credit-linked note structures, issued both pursuant to a Programme and as stand alone issues.
