Jennifer P. Gossain is an associate in White & Case's Silicon Valley Office, and a member of the Intellectual Property Practice Group.

Ms. Gossain's practice involves representing foreign and domestic companies in disputes over patents, copyrights and a variety of business torts, including breach of contract, trade secret misappropriation and unfair competition. She has litigated patent cases involving a variety of technologies, including digital cameras, high-definition televisions, digital and analog integrated digital circuits, software and computer systems in numerous district courts, in front of the International Trade Commission and before the Federal Circuit.

Ms. Gossain has also worked abroad in Japan counseling a top Japanese-based international consumer electronics manufacturer on patent issues including invalidity, enforceability, infringement, and prosecution of semiconductor, electronics, and processing patents.

While in law school, Ms. Gossain was a research editor for the Journal of International Law and Policy. She also gained legal experience working at an IP boutique firm that focused on patent prosecution. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Gossain worked as a software engineer at a semiconductor company, where she designed and implemented circuit design automation software.

Ms. Gossain received a bachelor of science degree in computer science and a bachelor of arts degree in English from Vanderbilt University. She earned her JD from the University of California, Davis School of Law.
