Practice Experience

John Handy is an associate in the Intellectual Property Practice at White & Case LLP. John's practice focuses on both patent prosecution and litigation. He has prosecuted patent applications in the U.S. and abroad involving a number of technical disciplines, including mechanical systems, satellite technologies, software applications, and business methods related to financial services. In addition, John has conducted a series of patent validity and infringement assessments. John also has experience in complex patent infringement litigation matters with an emphasis on disputes related to pharmaceuticals, including ANDA cases under the Hatch-Waxman Act.

Prior to White & Case, John worked in the IT industry as a software and database programmer and an e-commerce specialist. John architected a variety of custom intranet and standalone applications, utilizing Microsoft, Java, and Macromedia technologies.
