Practice Experience
Ms. Joanna Sapieżko-Samordak specializes in competition and intellectual property law. She also has practical experience in corporate and tax law.

In her practice, Joanna has provided legal advice with regard to concentrations of undertakings. She has advised on risks relating to non-compliance with antitrust requirements in Poland and in the European Union.

Her experience in the area of intellectual property law includes advising on the acquisition of computer systems and issues related to the protection of trademarks.

Prior to joining the Warsaw office of White & Case, Joanna worked in a renowned international law firm and had several internships at international law firms.

Joanna has two Master's degrees from Warsaw University: a Master of Laws and a Master of International Relations, both of which were with honors. She held an Erasmus-Socrates program scholarship at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz and a scholarship at the Rheinischee Friedrich-Wilhelm University in Bonn.

She graduated from the German and European Law School, Warsaw University & Friedrich-Wilhelm Rhein University of Bonn, the American and European Law Center at Warsaw University, Warsaw University & University of Florida and the British Law Centre Warsaw University & University of Cambridge. Currently, she is working on a PhD at the Institute of International Relations at Warsaw University.

Joanna is well versed in European Union and international law. She is author of numerous articles, co-author of students' books on European and international Law and has lectured in this scope at Warsaw University.

Joanna is a legal advisor.

She speaks fluent German and English.
