Practice Experience
Kenneth C. Ellis has over 35 years of experience representing international businesses and their financial advisers in a wide range of international corporate transactions. Throughout his career, he has advised on acquisitions and divestitures, debt and equity capital markets offerings, privatizations, joint ventures, debt restructurings and other corporate and financial matters.
Mr. Ellis was based in our Singapore and Hong Kong offices from 1991─2007, where he headed our Asian securities practice and advised on securities and M&A transactions throughout Asia. From 2008─2009, he was based in our Miami and New York offices and in early 2010 he relocated to Doha to join our Middle East practice.
Mr. Ellis has advised participants in merger and acquisition transactions involving, and issuers and investment banks on high-yield debt offerings, initial public offerings, rights offerings, and other capital markets transactions involving, a wide range of industries, including the agriculture, banking, beverage, gaming, mining, oil & gas, power, pulp & paper, real estate, retail, shipbuilding, and telecommunications (fixed and mobile) industries.
He has also advised sovereign governments, sovereign wealth funds and other state-owned entities on a wide range of financial and transactional matters, including in the privatization of state-owned entities through negotiated divestitures and global equity offerings, in cross-border acquisition transactions and in global sovereign debt offerings and other financial related matters.
