Practice Experience
Kenneth C. Ellis has over 35 years of experience representing U.S. and non-U.S. entities and their financial advisers in a wide range of international corporate transactions. Throughout his career, he has advised on debt and equity capital markets offerings, acquisitions and divestitures, privatizations, joint ventures, debt restructurings and other corporate and financial matters. While based in our Asian offices from 1991 through 2007, he headed our Asian securities practice and advised on transactions throughout Asia. He has worked in our Miami, New York, Hong Kong, Singapore and Jakarta offices.
Mr. Ellis has advised issuers and investment banks on high-yield debt offerings, initial public offerings, rights offerings, and other capital markets transactions involving a wide range of industries, including the agriculture, banking, beverage, gaming, mining, oil & gas, power, pulp & paper, real estate, retail, shipbuilding, and telecommunications (fixed and mobile) industries.
Mr. Ellis also has substantial experience in advising on the capital markets issues involved in international debt restructurings, including tender and exchange offers, consent solicitations, schemes of arrangement and related issues.
Advising sovereign governments on a wide range of financial matters is another focus of Mr. Ellis’ practice. He has extensive experience in privatization of state-owned entities through negotiated divestitures and global equity offerings, global sovereign debt offerings and London Club reschedulings.
