Practice Experience
Kristen M. Young is an Associate at White & Case LLP and practices with the International Arbitration and Litigation Groups. She has experience in representing sovereigns and foreign companies in international arbitration and litigation matters.
Ms. Young’s recent experience includes:
Representation of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in an ICSID arbitration arising under the US-Jordan bilateral investment treaty relating to an oil concession contract;
Representation of Romania in an ICSID arbitration arising under the US-Romania bilateral investment treaty relating to the privatization of several companies;
Representation of Romania in an ICSID arbitration arising under the UK-Romania bilateral investment treaty concerning duty free services at Romanian airports; and
Representation of the Republic of Bulgaria in an ICSID arbitration arising under the Energy Charter Treaty concerning an oil refinery.
At Georgetown University Law Center, Ms. Young was a Global Law Scholar and member of the Georgetown Law Journal.
