Practice Experience
Kimberly Skipsey is an associate in the Firm's Banking & Capital Markets group in London, specialising in general banking. Her experience includes advising banks and corporate borrowers in relation to a wide range of transactions including general bank lending, project finance and structured finance. Her experience also includes involvement in mergers and acquisitions and disposals.

Kimberly also spent six months working in the Firm's Paris office.

Representative transactions include:
  • Acting for Nordea Bank AB (publ) as mandated lead arranger in connection with senior debt facilities provided for the purposes of EQT's acquisition of AcadeMedia AB (publ), a publicly-listed company and Sweden's largest provider of private education service.
  • Representing Deutsche Bank on the US$1.4 billion credit facilties to Styron S.a r.L.
  • Acting for the steering committee of noteholders on the financial restructuring of a Kazakh bank which is majority owned by a specialist private equity house.
  • Representing Deutsche Bank and JP Morgan Chase on the US$1.5 billion revolving credit facility for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc.
  • Acting for Credit Suisse, GSO Capital and Babson on the €290 million consensual loan-to-own restructuring of ALcontrol whereby a new mezzanine facility was put in place and the existing senior facilities were restated on an incurrence basis.
  • Representing Deutsche Trustee Company Limited in connection with a secured high yield notes issue by CEDC Finance Corporation International, Inc.
  • Acting for the steering committee (consisting of Deutsche Bank, Lloyds Bank, M&G, Babson and Harbourmaster) in relation to the successful restructuring of Linpac Group's debt facilities whereby £65 million of new money was injected on a super senior basis and £320 million of incumbent senior debt was left outstanding.
  • Acting for the lead arrangers on the US$380 million financing of Paris-Sorbonne University – Abu Dhabi PPP project.
