Practice Experience
Leopoldo Fragoso has mainly focused his practice in advising and structuring corporate and financial transactions, with special emphasis in mergers and acquisitions, syndicated lending, acquisition financing, project finance and structured financing, representing foreign and domestic clients in the private and public sectors.
In addition, Mr. Fragoso has experience advising foreign and domestic banks and borrowers on restructuring of credit facilities and insolvency issues associated with work-outs, performing legal audits of financial institutions and general corporate work.
He has participated in several cross-border and domestic corporate and financial transactions, including, among others, the acquisition by Grupo Prisa of a 49 percent equity participation in one of the biggest Mexican radio-concessionaires; the refinancing of the State of Sonora (and other municipality bodies) indebtedness collateralized with federal participations; the global private placement of senior notes to be issued by one major Pemex contractor pursuant to Rule 144A / Regulation S; and the financing of several residential and non-residential projects, including worldwide sound-name hotels and resorts.
Before joining White & Case, Leopoldo Fragoso worked as an associate for a very prestigious international law firm.
