Practice Experience
Lucia Magelli is admitted to the bar in both Italy and Germany as Avvocato and Rechtsanwältin. She advises German and international corporations and financial institutions in connection with transactions in Italy and Italian companies on their transactions in Germany. The focus of her practice is corporate and finance law.
In the area of corporate law, Ms. Magelli has a broad experience in advising on German-Italian M&A transactions and joint ventures. She has advised Italian companies on the take-over of German publicly listed companies, and German and international companies on the acquisition of an Italian target.
Ms. Magelli has counseled leading German and international financial institutions on the listing of derivative securities in Italy and as underwriters of Italian public notes. Consequently, she has broad experience in dealing with the competent Italian boards controlling the admission of securities and with the regulators such as Borsa Italiana, Consob or Banca d’Italia.
Prior to joining White & Case, Ms. Magelli works in the Frankfurt Office of a leading German and Italian law firm (1996-2004).
