Practice Experience
Mo Nurmohamed is an associate in the Firm’s Banking & Capital Markets group in London, specialising in acquisition finance and general banking. Mo’s experience includes advising banks and private equity sponsors in relation to leverage finance transactions and general bank lending. Before joining White & Case in September 2006, he was an associate in the Banking and Finance team in the London office of a leading international law firm.
Representative transactions include:
Acting for Nordic Capital in relation to the financing of the US$4 billion acquisition of ConvaTec, a division of the Bristol Myers Squibb Company (acquired jointly with Avista Capital Partners) - to date the largest leverage buyout of a US company in 2008;
Acting for Nordic capital €1 billion public offer for TietoEnator, a company listed on the Helsinki and Stockholm stock exchanges;
Acting for Nordic Capital as sponsor in connection with the financing of the €905 million acquisition of Eco SPA (a leading global copper business) from Lybra;
Acting for Deutsche Bank and Credit Suisse in connection with a €150 million Revolving Credit Facility and a €800 million High Yield Note issue to refinance Grohe Group’s existing €900 million Term and RCF Agreement. We also acted for the Trustee of the Notes;
Acting for Nordic Capital as sponsor in connection with the financing of the €1 billion acquisition of Thule AB (a leading global company in sports utility transportation) from Candover; and
Acting for Deutsche Bank in connection with a recapitalisation and various other amendments and restatements of acquisition finance facilities made available to the Elster group.
