Practice Experience
Ms. O’Connor is an associate in the tax department and concentrates on international private equity investment funds. She has a general practice in domestic and international tax planning for corporate and partnership transactions with a focus on the US federal income tax aspects of private equity, including the representation of investment managers, fund sponsors of private equity and hedge funds as well as institutional investors.
Ms. O’Connor advises pension trusts and other tax-exempt organizations, as well as foreign government and other non-US institutional investors, with respect to investments in domestic and international private investment funds, including venture capital, buyout, real estate and hedge funds. Her practice also covers various issues of federal income taxation arising from mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, stock and debt offerings and project finance and bank lending transactions.
