Michael Watson is an associate in the Energy, Infrastructure, Project and Asset Finance group in London.
Prior to joining White & Case, Michael worked for a leading UK firm and a leading South African firm.
Selected Experience includes:
Advised the sponsors on the €290 million M50 Motorway PPP project in Ireland.
Advised the sponsors on the €400 million N6 Galway to Ballinasloe Toll Road PPP project in Ireland.
Advised a consortium on their bid for the €400 million M7/M8 Portlaoise Toll Road PPP project in Ireland.
Advised Riga City Council on the procurement of the €1 billion Riga Northern Corridor Project.
Advised a consortium on their bid for the Leeds City Council Building Schools for the Future project.
Advised a consortium on their bid for the Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council Building Schools for the Future project.
Advised the existing PFI provider on the London Borough of Haringey Building Schools for the Future project.
Advised an infrastructure fund on the £36.5 million disposal of its interest in Meterfit, a gas metering utility.
Advised the vendor on its due diligence of Secondary Market Infrastructure Fund.
Advised Secondary Market Infrastructure Fund on various projects in relation to the subcontracting arrangements, refinancing and major capital variations.
Advised the concessionaire, Matola Gas Company, on the Matola to Ressano Garcia natural gas pipeline and distribution network in Mozambique.
Advised the sponsors on the DRC/Zambia Second Cross-border Electricity Interconnector.
Advised City Power (Proprietary) Limited, the Johannesburg City power utility, on its off-take arrangements with South Africa’s first independent power producer.
Advised the sponsors on the R870 million Department of Trade and Industry head office accommodation PPP Project in South Africa.
Advised the lenders on the R400 million Department of Education head office accommodation PPP project in South Africa.
Advised a consortium on its bid for the South African Revenue Services Container X-Ray PPP project in South Africa.
