As Baby Boomers get closer to retirement age, the me generation is putting itself first -- which could have major implications for their children hoping for an inheritance.

If boomers do leave an inheritance, there may be strings attached. "More often than not clients leave inheritances in trusts," says John Olivieri, a partner at law firm White & Case, who works with a lot of boomer clients. "Some parents have concerns about how their kids would invest and spend the money."
