White & Case Advances on City’s Capital Markets Elite
November 3, 2003, The Lawyer
White & Case is challenging some of London's leading capital markets lawyers after securing its eleventh new hire of the year. Former Linklaters’ lawyer Lee Parker will join the Firm later this month after being voted into the partnership on October 27. Parker is the ninth Linklaters lawyer to jump ship to White & Case and the eleventh new recruit to join the London office since the beginning of the year.
As the number of capital market lawyers has increased at White & Case to a total of nine partners and 31 associates, so has the Firm's list of top-ranking clients, including Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB), ABN Amro and Merrill Lynch. White & Case has won places on all three of the banks' panels for capital markets work within the past year.
The moves also potentially elevates the Firm's position among London's leading capital markets firms - all of which advise one or more of these banks.
In addition to Parker, new White & Case capital markets recruits include senior associate James Turnbull, who joined the Firm from CSFB in August, and Tim Jeveons, a specialist in Central and Eastern European deals.
