Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised HSH Nordbank AG on the project financing of the third-largest French wind farm Seine Rive Gauche Nord. Its purchaser is a fund launched by the KGAL group, Enhanced Sustainable Power Funds 3, investing through a holding structure in various special purpose vehicles which will act as owners and operators of the wind park. The sellers are the French wind park developer H2air SAS and the German wind power systems manufacturer Nordex SE.
The wind farm Seine Rive Gauche Nord is located in the Departement Aube, the Champagne-Ardenne region in northern France, and includes 30 Nordex N100 wind turbines. The total electricity output of the park is aimed to be 75 megawatt. The wind park is already under construction and is scheduled to start operating in 2015. The project also includes a dedicated transformer substation that will establish a direct grid connection to the high voltage RTE Transmission network, which makes it unique on the French energy market.
The White & Case team, led by partner Florian Degenhardt and Counsel Dr. Beate Treibmann, also included local partners Matthias Bochum and Veit Sahlfeld as well as associate Matthias Grigoleit (all Bank Finance). It included Paris partners Denise Diallo (Bank finance) and Brice Engel (Real Estate) with support from counsel Marianna Sédéfian (Bank Finance) and the associates Jonathan Djenaoussine, Hugues Martin Sisteron (Bank Finance), Guilain Hippolyte (Corporate), Anne Petitjean and Amandine Lieurade (Real Estate).
