Project Finance International featured an article about the recent World Bank conference on "public private partnerships" as a way to build "infrastructure in emerging nations."

Edward R Neaher, a partner in the Energy, Infrastructure and Project Finance Practice at White & Case in Washington, DC, attended the conference as a panelist. According to him, many attendees felt states could encourage investment by working with the private sector to create more attractive PPP options. Because of the current market, "People are selecting [projects] more carefully," said Neaher.
