White & Case Opens Doors in Abu Dhabi

The Lawyer ran a feature article on White & Case's new office in Abu Dhabi, its second in the Middle East.  White & Case has had an office in Riyadh, in association with the law firm of Mohammed Al-Sheikh, since 1991.

"There have been a lot of developments in the Abu Dhabi market and it's time for us to have a permanent on the ground presence," said Villiers Terblanche, a partner in the Energy, Infrastructure and Project Finance Practice at White & Case, who has relocated from New York to lead the Abu Dhabi office.  "A number of our lawyers have been active in the jurisdiction for some time, so launching the office is the right move."

"We aim to promote strong connections between the Abu Dhabi and Riyadh offices, capitalising on the increased capabilities on the ground," said Mohammed Al-Sheikh, the White & Case partner who leads the Riyadh office.
