Cleary and Ritch Mueller Steer Bimbo to US Bakery Buy

White & Case acted as antitrust counsel to Grupo Bimbo, the largest baking company in Latin America, on its $2.5 billion purchase of Weston Foods US bakery business.

The transaction was "a transformative deal that extends the largest baker in the Americas throughout the entire United States," said George Paul, a partner in the Antitrust Practice in Washington, DC, who led the White & Case team advising on the deal. Other White & Case lawyers involved included Christian Hansen, Rebecca Farrington, Noah Brumfield, Daniel Kanter, Douglas Jasinski and Roberto Vidal.
