Nicholas Tan is an associate in the Singapore office and focuses on capital markets and securities transactions.  His work includes representing underwriters and issuers in a variety of debt and equity offerings, including global and initial public offerings, U.S. offerings under Rule 144A and offerings under Regulation S.

Mr. Tan recently advised ABN AMRO Rothschild as the global coordinator, bookrunner, issue manager and underwriter on the US$172 million Rule 144A/Regulation S IPO of JES International Holdings Limited, a major PRC shipbuilding group, listed on the Singapore Exchange.

Prior to joining the Firm, Nicholas was a member of the financial services group at a leading law firm in New York, where he advised hedge funds, mutual funds, broker-dealers and other financial institutions in a wide range of matters, including the structuring and formation of U.S. and offshore investment products, mergers and acquisitions in the financial services industry, and regulatory and compliance matters under the U.S. Investment Company Act, the Advisers Act, the Exchange Act and the Securities Act.
