Practice Experience
Oscar is an associate in the London Intellectual Property group. He assists in IP and IT aspects of corporate transactions and IP and IT matters generally.
Examples of recent representations include:
Advising a German bank in respect of a market data agreement;
Advising a UK company on a software licence;
Advising a German bank on a SWIFT MACUG customer agreement;
Advising a Saudi company regarding information security laws;
Advising a UK-based metals trading business on its data retention schedule;
Advising in respect of the proposed franchising of a US-owned gourmet food retailing operation;
Advising in respect of a potential joint venture relating to an aluminium smelter in the Middle East.
Advising a UK retailer on defending claims of trade mark infringement and passing off;
Advising a UK retailer on a potential copyright infringement claim; and
Advising a UK charity which has received lottery funding in the appointment of a UK university to undertake research activities.
