Overview

Alberto's practice focuses on commercial, civil and constitutional litigation including, among other areas, Amparo actions, bankruptcy, securities, insurance, telecommunications, as well as consulting.

In addition to trying civil, commercial and constitutional cases, Alberto also has experience in international arbitration, regulatory law, administrative law and white collar.

Alberto regularly represents national and international clients, mostly global companies, multinational banks, investment banks, investment advisers, insurance companies and other providers of financial services, as well as security agents, trustees, creditor groups, bondholders, public corporations, credit insurers and Mexican public institutions, among others.

Prior to joining White & Case in 2014, Alberto worked at one of the most prestigious firms in Mexico in the dispute resolutions area.

Experience

Representation of multinational banks against complex multimillion-dollar claims arising from alleged breach of contracts, fiduciary duties, credits, as well as from deposits.

Conduction and implementation of legal actions to contain and reverse different multibillion fraud attempts against two of the most important banks in Mexico. These legal actions included Amparo actions against different Mexican authorities, as well as civil and criminal actions that implied cross-border litigation in Mexico and US.

White collar and compliance experience, including assistance in internal corporate investigations as well as representation and advice of Mexican and US multinational companies in commercial and civil matters, involving fraud, accounting, and regulatory issues, in the context of investigations and enforcement actions.

Representation of a very well konwn multinational insurance company in complex claims arising from alleged breach of contracts.
