Overview

Aneta Urban focuses on banking and finance law. She has participated in a number of domestic and cross-border loan transactions. She advises Polish and foreign banks, financial institutions, borrowers, sponsors, investment funds and private equity funds on Polish and cross-border financing transactions, including: (a) acquisition finance transactions, (b) real estate finance transactions, (c) project finance transactions, and (d) general corporate purposes financing. She has significant experience in preparing and negotiating documentation connected with the issuance of various debt instruments, including bonds and deposit certificates.

Prior to joining White & Case, Aneta worked for the Warsaw office of a Magic Circle firm for almost eight years.

Experience

Bank Pekao S.A. (UniCredit Group)

Represented the bank in connection with the financing of a public-private partnership project concerning the redevelopment and maintenance of student dormitories of the Jagiellonian University Medical College in Cracow, Poland. This transaction represents the first PPP student housing project in Poland.

Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego

Represented the bank in connection with the PLN 1 billion bond issuance programme of Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo S.A.

Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego

Represented the bank in connection with the PLN 256 mln investment facility and PLN 40 mln revolving facility made available to Grupa Azoty Zakłady Azotowe Kędzierzyn S.A. for the construction of a new heat and power plant. The agreement was signed under investment state support scheme "Inwestycje Polskie".

Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa S.A.

Advised the company on financing through private placements of secured bonds under an issue program in two tranches of, respectively, PLN 700 million and USD163.76 million for the purpose of the acquisition of the Knurów-Szczygłowice coal mine.

Represented a syndicate of banks in connection with the refinancing of indebtedness of a leading manufacturer of rolling stock and railway components.
